World Supercross fans spend over $500,000 enjoying exclusive, extended, live and on-demand coverage of the 2025 Championship via Recast
Executive Summary
World Supercross partnered with Recast to expand global access to its live and on-demand 2025 Championship content and introduce a new, complementary revenue stream.
By leveraging Recast’s direct-to-consumer integration, universal payment wallet, and global distribution platform, World Supercross generated new revenue streams with fans spending over $500k on content, unlocked new audiences globally and strengthened fan engagement.
Making Live, Race-day Content Accessible to All Audiences
World Supercross sought to expand its distribution footprint by making more race-day content accessible to fans around the globe.
Although the World Supercross Championship had several established linear broadcast agreements already in place, Recast provided a solution to further monetise its 2025 races and offer exclusive, extended coverage to fans around the world, unlocking significant new revenue.
Their objective was twofold:
- Extend reach internationally by offering fans flexible and affordable access to unique and exclusive content
- Deliver a DTC revenue stream that complements existing linear broadcast partnerships rather than competes with them.
Partnering with Recast, World Supercross modernised how live content is delivered worldwide, unlocked a new revenue stream and offered fans more in-depth and behind-the-scenes brand and event experience.
Activating Live; Distribution at Scale
World Supercross turned to Recast to deliver extended coverage of the 2025 Championship directly into global markets via a simple integration. This allowed the series to go beyond traditional channels, offering fans flexible Pay-Per-View access. Key components of the activation included:
1. Direct-to-Consumer Access - World Supercross offered fans instant access to premium content directly from their site. Transactions were processed through the RecastPay Wallet, allowing users to pay per video or for a multi-event pass without committing to additional subscriptions.
2. Complementing Existing Broadcast Partners - All content outside of main event streams was positioned as extended or enhanced coverage - programming not typically available via linear broadcast. This strategic use case allowed World Supercross to unlock new digital revenue without cannibalising or conflicting with its traditional broadcast partners.
3. Co-developed Product enhancements - As a valued partner, World Supercross played an active role in informing Recast’s Product Roadmap; the teams worked closely to deliver product enhancements, including:
- Custom naming of their Access Passes, e.g. “2025 Season Pass” or “Canadian GP Pass”
- Improved design of the Recast integration on worldsupercrosschampionship.com/watch
- Clearer signposting on key user journeys
- A contingency queuing/admission system to safeguard against instant traffic spikes
- AI Support bot for specific World Supercross fan enquiries
2025 Season Coverage
To satisfy demand for deeper, more immersive content, World Supercross produced and delivered a suite of extended programming. This included:
- Friday night ‘Kickstart’ preview show
- Countdown show, including qualifying rounds
- Main event plus extended post-race debrief show
- Comprehensive highlights package
Recast’s auto-replay feature ensured that all sessions were automatically uploaded as soon as each stream ended, enabling fans worldwide to watch on demand without delay.

Looking forward
There’s an opportunity for World Supercross to utilise Recast’s open distribution ecosystem to amplify the reach of their content, incentivising approved third-party publishers and riders to distribute content to their audiences worldwide. World Supercross can maintain complete control while taking its content directly to audiences where they are, with both publishers and riders earning an instant share of any referred transaction.
